But not every project is suited to our panels and sometimes our design team have to think outside the box. And that was the case on this project that features a fake ivy wall, custom-made for the client.
On this scheme in Central London, designed by Martin Kemp Design, the client had planters in their outdoor courtyard space that housed climbers that grew up the trellis on the wall. Unfortunately they had died and the customer didn’t want to have to go to the expense of replacing them and asked Vistafolia if we could provide a low-maintenance, lifelike solution that would mimic what they had had before. And so, it was decided that we would use trailing foliage from our Buxus traçant Boîte de texture to create their own bespoke version of a fake ivy wall.
By combining this foliage with a selection of white flowering foliage, the final result was a natural looking trailing ivy wall that met with the client’s expectations. To help complete the look of the foliage growing, Vistafolia added artificial plants from our exciting range of faux foliage options to the planters in the base. Now, the client has an effective privacy screen without any of the hassle of real planting and no concern about the plants dying or failing.
