What it is made from

A renewable source, in place of fossil material

Our panels are built on LDPE, a polymer chosen for its flexibility, colour fidelity and ability to form highly realistic foliage. In standard ranges, that LDPE comes entirely from conventional fossil sources.

In Phyllon ranges, at least half of the LDPE is replaced with a certified bio-based grade raw material. The renewable content is drawn from a by-product of vegetable oil processing, a residue waste stream rather than a virgin crop, so it does not compete with food production or call for new cultivation.

Independently certified at source

The bio-based LDPE is ISCC Plus certified

The renewable content is certified under ISCC Plus, an international standard for sustainable and traceable materials. The certification is held by our material supplier and covers the chain of custody from feedstock through to the bio-based polymer we use. It is verified by an independent body rather than self-declared.

Performance

UV stability, fire performance and structural integrity unchanged from standard ranges

What stays the same

Years in the making, and the first of its kind.

Phyllon holds the same UV stability, fire performance and structural integrity as the rest of our range. The change is in what the material is made from, not in how it looks or how long it lasts.
