Lastly, our walls are designed to last. With world-leading Fire and UV certificates, they are safe to use in any environment and their longevity is unmatched. They require very little maintenance, just a little bit of dusting or a light hosing to keep up appearances. An artificial living wall can be as large or as small as you would like it to be. The beauty about Vistafolia artificial living walls is that they are fully customisable and we can fit any project. Therefore, whether your idea is to fit a large commercial building or simply to re-design a small wall in your kitchen or bathroom, we can cater for that. Each of the Vistafolia panels are by default 800mm x 800mm but can be cut to virtually any size in order to fit perfectly on your wall. Different artificial green wall panels will be made from different materials but the majority of products are made from polyethylene. Some others may be made from silk, or something else entirely. Some may also consider things like moss or preserved plants to fall under this category.
Vistafolia is made from polythylene using our own unique formula, developed by our in-house R&D team. The actual make-up of this formula is constantly being reviewed and enhanced. We’re currently working on developing a bio-polymer with which to make our products. You can find more information on this project here.
Vistafolia’s Colour & Texture Boxes help customise the details of your green wall with vibrant selection of colours and textures to add extra depth to your wall. At Vistafolia, we have 8 Colour Boxes for you to choose from:
- Delicate White Colour Box: A mix of summer blossoms complimented with delicate white flowers
- Spring Pink Colour Box: A combination of elegant pink flowers and earthy green plants
- Forest Flame Colour Box: The immersive reds blend with the green to create a stunning view
- Soft Lavender Colour Box: Cascading greens blended with stunning blue lavender and blossoms
- Lush Green Texture Box: A mixture of large lush stems merged with green-fused and delicate flowers.
- Trailing Ivy Texture Box: Trailing Ivy for a trailing finish that can be used to add volume or evens as a standalone plant for baskets and planters
- Trailing Buxus Texture Box: Training Buxus for a trailing finish that compliments the Vistafolia panel adding an extra dimension to an indoor or outdoor display.
- Large Grasses Texture Box: A selection of large 18”, in colourful shades of green and burgundy.
Each of these colour boxes contains enough plants to personalise approximately 6-8 Vistafolia panels. They are manufactured to ISO 9001 standards, and all come with a 5 year warranty.
You can have as many Colour Boxes as you like, and you can mix them up as much as you like. The Vistafolia Colour Boxes will not come pre-attached to the wall; but will in arrive in specially packed and identifiable coloured boxes that you can attach. This is to ensure that the Colour Boxes and Panels reach you in perfect condition as the packaging is made to measure but also so that you have full control on how your wall will look. Remember, it’s your wall, your way. You can choose how much of the contents of the colour box ends up on your wall.

The VistaFolia Artificial Living Walls are labelled A, B & C in order to help create combinations of designs without repeating itself. Other manufacturers will just offer you a generic, design but you will find that their designs repeat themselves. Our solution on the other hand is a carefully designed and developed 3 panel system with foliage specifically arranged different for each panel to ensure a truly natural looking wall. So, of course you can choose whatever way to arrange them, but all the design work is already done for you. Of course, the amount of fixings and panels are calculated during a quote with our brilliant sales team, which then means all you have to do is attach it to the wall and start mounting the panels. Yes definitely. The panels can be cut to virtually any size depending on your requirements. Either our team will take care of this for you as part of your installation, or if you’re installing yourself we can provide all the necessary details for you including technical guides and detailed videos.
For most installations, we would strongly recommend using our fixing system. It has been specifically designed to hold your artificial plant wall in place and tested to ensure longevity.
For some installations, such as onto a timber frame, the fixings aren’t necessary. Information on the different installation methods can be found in our technical guide.

Vistafolia Artificial Green Walls require very little to no maintenance. That’s the benefit of an artificial green wall. Living walls obviously require watering and maintenance over time due to growth and seasonal changes. However, because Vistafolia’s panels and designed and developed to last, all that would need require (if you choose to do so) is the occasional dusting internally and externally and a light hose down just to get rid of any wind borne debris over the years. Ultimately, it means you can go on extended holidays worry free and your Vistafolia Artificial Living Wall will be exactly how you left it! We don’t recommend using a jetwash on our green plant walls. High velocity water may damage the foliage and cause some plants to come loose. We instead would recommend using a standard hose to keep your green wall looking its best. More information on maintaining your Vistafolia installation can be found here.
Vistafolia’s replica green plants walls are tested for harmful chemicals and as such as perfectly safe to use near water. Most artificial green walls do not have any certification to prove that they’ve been tested for this and so we would recommend avoiding any that haven’t been tested for your own safety. Some manufacturers also spray their walls with chemicals after manufacturing to help with UV or fire performance. Exposing them to pool water could cause a chemical reaction. All of the technology that goes into Vistafolia’s green walls is within the chemical make up of the plants, so it won’t simply wash off and will stay working for years to come.
Absolutely! Exactly how it should be installed will depend on the type of fence and our installation team can advise on this. You can see lots of great examples of here: fencing artificial green walls
Believe it or not, we regularly install onto lots of different surfaces, including glass. For this, we’d usually use a specialist adhesive to bond a timber frame first. If you’ve got a tricky project, contact us today and our team of green wall experts will be able to advise on this.
Certifications
Our Vistafolia Artificial Living Walls are fully UV tested and certified and therefore are able to sustain UV (Ultraviolet) radiation in even the warmest environments. We are the market leaders when it comes to our durability of UV within our green walls. UV radiation is the energy produced by the sun that we unfortunately cannot see but it can have damaging effects on certain plastics. Rival products don’t have the same UV certifications as Vistafolia and therefore their products aren’t as UV stable as ours and the vast majority cannot evidence any form of testing certification. UV degredation is cumulative so it sadly does not just come and go. Don’t worry though, UV radiation does not cause any harmful damage to our living walls, which is why we warranty them for 5 years, longer than any other product on the market.
Sadly no artificial living wall on the market is fireproof. However, Vistafolia’s artificial living wall is fire retardant. This means that the wall does not contain any properties that aid in the spread of fire and thus are perfectly safe to use. We test to the highest standards on the market to ensure all of our products are suitable for any environment. If you’re shopping around, make sure to ask the supplier for a copy of their test certification as some may not have tested at all, or may provide evidence that is not relevant to the product.
Yes, Vistafolia’s Artificial Living walls are fire retardant. This means that it does not contain any properties that aid in the spreading of fire. However, a lot of competitive manufacturers of green walls claim that their product is fire retardant but do not have any certifications to confirm that. Vistafolia are the only provider of artificial green walls on the market to have both certificates in UV testing and Fire Rating. Do make sure to double check if going elsewhere. A class O certification is not relevant to our product. However, Vistafolia Artificial Living wall panels are tested against BS EN 13501-1 which is the European Fire Classification and is classified as a Bs1d0. This is equivalent to Class O against BS 476. Vistafolia’s Artificial Living Wall panels are the only panels on the market that are UV and Fire Retardant certified. This means that there are no properties in our artificial living walls that aid in the spread of fire. Anything is UV stable for a certain amount of time, whether that be days, weeks or even years. The vast majority of products do not have any certifcation to prove that they have been tested. However, Vistafolia’s artificial living walls are UV stable and have undertaken vigorous testing to high irradiance levels to ensure that it is the most UV stable on the market. Therefore, this means that Vistafolia’s artificial green walls are the strongest in the market when it comes to battling against the Sun’s radiation. Other competitors will tell you that they are UV stable but aren’t actually certified and thus you cannot be sure of what you are buying. Vistafolia are the only provider of artificial living walls with both UV and Fire retardant certifications. Be sure to double check if going elsewhere. Vistafolia artificial living walls are built to last. Designed and developed in the UK, Vistafolia panels are built with a combination of long lasting materials and scientific research that allows the product to withstand the elements. The Vistafolia artificial living wall panels are fire retardant which means that the product does not contain components that aid the spread of fire. The panels are also UV certified which means that it’s the longest lasting product on the market in an outdoor environment. Vistafolia artificial walls comply with REACH, RoHS, and Prop 65 for reportable levels of chemicals of high concern. This means that the wall does not give off any polluting fumes and are perfectly suitable to use within a household or a populated environment. Therefore, the wall is completely safe when attached/fixed correctly to the wall with our specialised and innovative fixings. As real as it looks, please do not attempt to eat it. It’s not as healthy for you as real plants.
Yes. Vistafolia’s living walls are recyclable but it is a specialist process and cannot just be popped into a recycling bin.
The Artificial Faux Wall foliage can be shredded to create polymer beads, melted down and moulded into coasters for cups and mugs. A very simple process and one that was compatible with our Vistafolia Artificial Living Wall foliage.

Vistafolia Artificial Green Walls are extremely resistant to the wind. Designed and developed to be a permanent indoor and outdoor centrepiece; it will remain strong in many weather conditions. The fixings that you can purchase with our panels; which are created to be disguised behind the foliage, are very strong and will hold your Vistafolia Wall in place. Be sure to follow the installation guidance on our website which you can find here. Reading this will help as a guide to make sure you follow best practice to fit your panels effectively. Delivery & Shipping
The length it takes for us to ship our Vistafolia Artificial Living Wall Panels to you depends on different variables. Shipping may be as fast as next day delivery for a few panels but it can range in time length depending on the size of the order (Whether you have ordered 3 panels or 300 panels will affect shipping time). The ease of access to the location will also affect timescale i.e. distance from distributor, living in a rural environment with little infrastructure. Yes, there is a cost for shipping but the cost is dependent on a few factors:
- Location: If you live in a very rural area with little to no infrastructure then shipping cost may be higher due to the difficulties of transportation.
- Size of Order: If you order a few panels, then most likely you will get a low cost for shipping. However larger orders may be subject to higher shipping costs due to the sheer size of the order and its effect on transportation.
- External Factors: Things aren’t quite back to normal just yet, so therefore there are somethings that might just be out of our control. However, we won’t just spring these costs on you last minute. Have a chat with our sales team if you are unsure or when making an order and they can offer you a more accurate price for shipping and can even make special arrangements so that everything is easier for you.
