Private Care Facility Green Wall in Kent

We were proud to contribute to the impressive and significant transformation at Active Care Group’s Hothfield Rehabilitation Centre in Ashford, Kent. What was once a bare brick courtyard has been turned into a vibrant, uplifting space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients, staff and visitors alike to relax and enjoy.

The client needed a durable, high-quality and low-maintenance solution. Natural planting was quickly dismissed due to the significant upkeep it would require, the ongoing costs, and the need for an instant visual impact rather than waiting for plants to establish.

With these considerations in mind, an artificial alternative was the perfect answer. In just over two weeks, Vistafolia installed more than 300m² of panels across the courtyard façades, delivering the project ahead of schedule to meet the facility’s relaunch date.

The installation featured our Signature Panels, enhanced with Lush Green Texture Boxes, and our Luxury Flowering Panels, both staples of the Vistafolia replica living wall offering. Both product ranges are engineered to exceptional standards, independently tested for UV resistance, fire safety, freeze/thaw performance and wind loading, and supported by our market-leading 5-year warranty.

Each panel is crafted with a powder-coated stainless steel grid for durability, and installed securely using our specialist fixing system suitable for brickwork. Every piece of foliage is individually arranged by hand and attached using stainless steel cable ties for longevity and a truly natural finish.

What sets Vistafolia apart, especially on large-scale projects like this, is our unique multi-panel system. Instead of repeating a single design, we use either three or four subtly varied foliage layouts to eliminate visible repetition and create a natural, organic appearance.
